Religious Adviser AFM Khalid’s book ‘Islami Bidhi-Bidhan’ unveiled

DHAKA, Feb 15, 2025 (BSS) – A book on Islamic rules and regulations named ‘Islami Bidhi Bidhan’, authored by Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain, was unveiled today.

Published by renowned Bishokollan Publication, the book consists of four chapters covering essential aspects of Iman (faith), Ibadat (worship), Muamalat (Islamic commercial transactions) and Muasharat (social conduct) in light with the Quran and Hadith.
 
The book launching ceremony was held at the rooftop of DR Tower at Purana Paltan in the capital.

Speaking at the programme, Advisor to the ministries of liberation war affairs and disaster management Faruk E Azam, Bir Protik said the book will play pivotal role in resolving societal misconceptions, divisions, and conflicts regarding Islamic beliefs and practices.

The book provides Quran and Hadith-based references on various aspects of Shariah, he said urging the authorities to publish the book in digital format as well to allow easy access via mobile devices.

While addressing the programme, Adviser AFM Khalid stated that the book aims to present key aspects of Islamic jurisprudence based on Quran and Hadith while avoiding controversial matters. “The book was kept concise and expressed hope that future editions would expand on the topics covered.”

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Islamic Arabic University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shamsul Alam and Director General of the Islamic Foundation Abdul Salam Khan, Senior sub-editor of  Naya Diganta Maulana Liaquat Ali, poet and researcher Musa Al Hafiz, and Managing Director of Abed Holdings Ltd Abu Khalid Md. Barkat Ullah also addressed on the occasion.
