BAF does well in 10th Int’l Hifzul Quran competition in Makkah

DHAKA, Feb 16, 2025 (BSS) – The participants of the Bangladesh Armed Forces (BAF) have achieved outstanding success in the 10th International Hifzul Quran Competition-2024 held in Makkah of Saudi Arabia.

A total of 179 military personnel from 32 countries across the globe took part in the competition under the auspices of Saudi Arabia from January 31 to February 4, 2025, said a release of the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) this evening.

A total of six participants, including five of the Bangladesh Navy and one from the Army participated in the competition in six events, including the Hifz and recitation competition of Para-03, Para -05, Para-10, Para-20 and Para-30 of the holy Quran, it said.

Sabbir Hossain of Bangladesh Navy under the Para-03 group and Mohammad  Golam Rabbani under the  Para-10 Hifz group won the gold medal by securing second position, the ISPR added.
