DHAKA, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel embargo on former finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal alias Lotus Kamal, his wife Kashmiri Kamal and two daughters - Kashfi Kamal and Nafisa Kamal - over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The court's decision came within a week of filing four graft cases against the accused.

The ACC on February 13 filed the cases against them for amassing illegal wealth of Taka167.56 crore and making suspicious transactions of Taka 850 crore.

The anti-graft body in its plea today said it is probing the cases against Kamal and his family members and travel ban should be imposed on them for the sake of proper investigation.
