639 more arrested under 'Operation Devil Hunt'

DHAKA, Feb 25, 2025 (BSS)- As part of the move to check 
sabotage and violence leading to instability in the country, 
the joint forces arrested 639 more people, under the 
nationwide 'Operation Devil Hunt'. 

In a short message, the police headquarters said 1,638 more 
individuals were netted from across the country on the 18th 
day of the operation in the last 24 hours till noon today 
(February 25). 

Of the arrestees, 639 were captured for their suspected link 
to destabilise the country under the 'Operation Devil Hunt' 
while 999 others on previous cases and warrants, the message 
said.   

During the operation in the last 24 hours, two old foreign 
pistols, a light gun (LG), a magazine of pistol, a lead 
cartridge of short gun, a machete, a knife and one sharp 
'Boti' were seized.
