DHAKA, Feb 26, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel ban on
Khandaker Enayetullah, former secretary general of Bangladesh Transport
Owners Association (BTOA), his wife Nargis Samsad, son Ridwanul Ashik Niloy
and daughter Chashme Jahan Nishi, over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order
allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The anti-graft body in its plea said they have formed a three-member
committee to probe allegations of extorting Taka 1.65 crore daily from buses
plying on different routes from the capital.

The ACC, during its probe, found information on huge illegal wealth in the
names of Enayetullah, his wife, son and daughter, and they are trying to hand
over the properties.

"They are trying to flee the country to evade justice. So a travel ban should
be imposed on them to make them face justice here," the plea added.
