RAB arrests wanted fugitive Kadir Sipai

DHAKA, Feb 26, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested fugitive Kadir Sipai, who is wanted in 28 cases, from Dudh Bazar area in Narayanganj.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-11 conducted a drive in the area and rounded up Kadir, 46, son of Dulal Sipai at Sipaipara Uttar Golapnagar under Fatullah Upazila of Narayanganj, said a media release of RAB today.

RAB said there are 28 cases and two general diaries against Kadir Sipai with South Keraniganj Police Station of Dhaka and Sirajdikhan Police Station of Munsiganj
district in connection of murder, robbery, attempt to murder and toll collection.

RAB said Kadir Sepai, the kingpin of the Kadir Sepai Group, is an influential figure in the North Gopalnagar area of Fatulla in Narayanganj and is known in the area as the main associate of Sameed Ali, the finance secretary of the Awami League of Baktavali Union.

Under the shelter of Sameed Ali, Kader Sepai and his gang established a reign of terror, extortion, grabbing and attacking on opponents in the area by using firearms, and homemade weapons.

After the changeover of the political situation, Kader Sepai went into hiding.

Later, he was handed over to Fatullah Police Station for further legal procedure.
