DHAKA, March 10, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today showed former minister Rashed Khan Menon arrested in a case lodged for attempting to murder one Shakib Hossain in the city during Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to show him arrested in the case. The court later sent him back to jail.
Menon was arrested from the city's Gulshan area on August 22 and was later shown arrested in many murder and attempt to murder case.
According to the case documents, Shakib was shot as he joined anti-discrimination student rally in the Ramna area on July 19, 2024. He later filed the case on December 11 in this connection.
