37 people held in Mohammadpur, Adabor, Kotwali

DHAKA, March 12, 2025 (BSS) – Police in special drives have rounded up 37 individuals on charges of various crimes from different parts of the capital’s Mohammadpur, Adabor and Kotwali areas.    

Of the total, Mohammadpur police arrested 13 individuals, Adabor police held 13, and Kotwali police detained 11, said a press release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today. 

The arrestees were identifies as- Md. Tanjil (21), Bashed Khandaker (40), Hridoy (28), Md. Tapan Mia (48), Md. Sohel (26), Md. Shakib (21), Md. Arif (19), Md. Shakeel (19), Md. Nazmul (18), Md. Mahfuz Biswas (19),  Md. Ratul (19), Alamin (26), Hamida Begum (30), Sharifur Nahar, Ijaz (40), Sohel (22), Anwar (31), Shah Alam (60), Johnny (24), Ismail (27), Ataur (30), Rumman (35), Swapan (45), Monir (20), Ibrahim (39), Khalid (39), Rabiul (36), Mintu Nandi (35), Md. Mishar (22),  Md. Ibrahim Hawlader (25), Md. Moktar Sheikh (45),  Anik Ahmed (21), Md. Nasir (23), Md. Sajib Mia (29),  Mehedi Hasan (22), Akash Mandal (23) and Md. Tajul Islam (43).

Different teams of the police on Tuesday rounded up the individuals by conducting raids in various crime-prone areas under their jurisdiction

The arrested include professional active robbers, muggers, drug peddlers, fugitive accused and miscreants involved in various crimes.

The arrested have been produced before the court.
