VC seeks cooperation from all to establish BRUR as best university

RANGPUR, Mar 12, 2025 (BSS) - Vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Showkat Ali has sought everyone's cooperation, including journalists, to establish Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) as the best university in the country.

He called for this cooperation in his speech as the chief guest at a Iftar and doa mahfil organized by the university administration at the university’s cafeteria on Wednesday evening.

The programme was arranged for the journalists from various media who are working on the university campus and in Rangpur metropolis, and students injured in the July uprising.

The VC sought the cooperation of everyone, including journalists, to ensure the progress of Begum Rokeya University.

He said that from now on, such Iftar parties will be organized continuously for the media.

The VC also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the July uprising and the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs.

He thanked journalists in Rangpur for participating in the Iftar and doa mahfil.
 
The journalists also thanked the BRUR administration for organizing the Iftar and doa Mahfil for the first time after the establishment of Begum Rokeya University.

Director of the Office of the Student Affairs Professor Dr. Md. Ilias Pramanik moderated the programme, while the University Registrar Dr. Md. Harun-or Rashid delivered the closing speech.

Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Professor Dr. Md. Tajul Islam, University Proctor Dr. Md. Ferdous Rahman, and other teachers were present.
