38 bags fireworks, 48 kgs ganja seized at Matuail

DHAKA, March 13, 2025 (BSS) - A joint team of Bangladesh Army and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized 38 bags of fireworks and 48 kgs of ganja in the capital's Matuail area. 

The team, consisting of Army personnel and RAB-10, set up a check post at the Matuail U-turn along the Chattogram-Dhaka highway in Jatrabari on Wednesday. During the operation, three cargo vehicles belonging to SA Paribahan were intercepted, said a media release of RAB today.

Inside the vehicles, they discovered fireworks and ganja, with an estimated value of Taka one crore.

RAB-10 is actively working to apprehend the individuals responsible for the illegal goods. 

Legal proceedings are underway.
