Swapan Bhattacharya's son Supriya sued for acquiring illegal wealth

DHAKA, March 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against Supriya Bhattacharya, son of former State Minister for Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya, on charges of acquiring wealth beyond the known source of income.

ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akther Hossain told the reporters at a press briefing.

He said that Supriyo Bhattacharya has been charged with acquiring and possessing assets worth Taka 63,55,538 which are inconsistent with the known source of income.

ACC assistant director Khorshed Alam filed the case.
