DHAKA, March 13, 2025 (BSS) – The National University (NU) authority announced that it is a must now to have minimum post graduation degree to be members of government bodies of NU’s affiliated private colleges across the country.

Alongside, it also declared that the members including the president and other Ad-hoc committees will no more be eligible to take any financial facility from the colleges. In addition, the same person cannot be a member of the governing bodies of two separate colleges at a time.

The NU authority made the announcements on Tuesday by issuing two separate notifications saying, the orders will come into effect from the date.

“Members of college governing bodies and ad-hoc committees are appointed voluntarily and their posts are totally non-salaried. It is a directive for them that they won’t take any kinds of financial facility from their colleges,” another notification reads.

“Else NU hold the power to suspend respective Ad-hoc committee or governing body,” it added.
