DHAKA, March 21, 2025(BSS) - BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today said if the people pardons Awami league, then BNP has nothing to say about this matter.

"Swift trial must be ensured to them (Awami League). After the trial, Awami League must apologize to the people. And if people forgive them, we have nothing to say," he said.

The BNP senior leader said these while speaking at a programme held at a field adjacent to Haji Shukur Ali Madrasah at Faidabad Madhapara in Capital's Dakshinkhan. He distributed Eid gifts among the needy people there.

Rizvi urged everyone to remain vigilant so that no more fascism arises in the country.

Demanding trial of those involved in the genocide during the July-August movement, he said, "After the trial of the criminals of Awami League is ensured, if the people give those not involved in killing and looting a chance to do politics, we have nothing to say."

Rizvi also asked why the Awami League cannot do politics if it is led by honest people who did not kill students or loot money.
