BARGUNA, March 23, 2025 (BSS) - After a year of closure, launch services are going to resume on the Dhaka-Amtoli river route.

A total of four launches will operate on the route in phases from March 26, said Mamunur Rahman, owner of Yad 7 Launch.

The initiative has been taken to start launch services on the route keeping in mind the passenger service during the Eid.

After the opening of the Padma Bridge on June 25, 2022, the launches in the southern region faced a passenger crisis. Due to this, the launch services on the Amtoli-Dhaka river route were closed.

Every year, the launch services temporarily resume when Eid comes. This year too, the launch authorities have taken the initiative to start the launch services on the Amtoli-Dhaka route on the occasion of Eid.

Assistant Director of Barguna BIWA Nirmal Kumar Roy said all types of services to the passengers will be ensured.
