DHAKA, March 23, 2025 (BSS) – Police have nabbed two professional snatchers with home-made weapons from the capital’s Mirpur-10 area while preparing for mugging.

The arrestees were identified as Abdul Based alias Badhan alias Badal, 22 and Md. Nayan Mia alias Babu, 25, said a media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today.

Based on the information, a patrol team of Mirpur Model Police Station conducted a raid on a road adjacent to Mirpur-10 circle at 11:45pm on Saturday and rounded up the duo with help of people.

However, two of their accomplices managed to escape.  

A case was filed at Mirpur Model Police Station and the arrestees have been produced before the court.
