RANGPUR, March 25, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that Sheikh Hasina has no any remorse despite carrying out genocide in July-August.

“She (Hasina) still has the mentality of killing people and taking revenge,” he said while addressing as the chief guest at an event prior to an ‘Iftar Mahfil’ organized by the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) at Rangpur Medical College auditorium in the city on Tuesday evening.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that even after the blood of thousands of children, teenagers and young men, “Sheikh Hasina’s mind is now blood thirsty”.

“She still gives orders to kill out of revenge which is not possible for a normal person. She has destroyed elections and democracy to stay in power forever through 2014 non-voter elections, 2018 night elections and then dummy elections in 2024 which is a rare event in history,” he said.

He also said that Obaidul Quader (Awami League General Secretary) said that if the Awami League was not in power, one lakh people would die, but nothing like this has happened in the country after August 5. “Obaidul Quader used to say this to create panic among the people.”

Regarding healthcare, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that if the country's health sector was properly developed and the infrastructure was developed, the people of the country need not to go to India for treatment.

“The same books, the same methods, the same doctors in the world should be the same. Even then, the mindset of the people of the country goes abroad for treatment. Only the doctors of the country can change this,” he said.

At this time, he mentioned the issue of cricketer Tamim Iqbal and wished him good health.

DAB Rangpur Medical College Unit President Professor Dr. Md. Mahamudul Haque Sarkar spoke as a special guest.
