BGB seizes huge goods smuggled from India in Sylhet

SYLHET, Mar 26, 2025 (BSS)- Border Guard Bangladesh seized a huge consignment of smuggled goods worth over Taka 68.32 lakh from Sylhet border areas toady.

BGB teams of Sripur, Panthumai, Pratappur, Songram, Minatila and Tamabil BOP outposts under the BGB 48 Battalion conducted separate drives and seized the goods smuggled in the country from India.

The goods include Indian buffalo, beef and basmati rice, BGB 48 Battalion commander Nazmul Haque said adding that legal steps were underway in this regard.
