BCG opens warship ‘Aparajeyo Bangla’ in Payra Port for visitors

PATUAKHALI, March 26, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) this afternoon opened its warship ‘Aparajeyo Bangla’ to the public at the service jetty of Payra Port of Kalapara here on the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day.

People of all walks of life, including students from various schools and colleges, thronged there to visit the warship while concerned Coast Guard officials answered people's curiosity and various questions about the ship.

During that time, the people were informed about different aspects of the ship, including the deep sea navigation and patrolling in coastal areas, rescue and search activities, illegal intrusion and smuggling prevention.

The visitors, however, expressed excitement after learning about combating piracy, protecting fisheries and natural resources, and war tactics.
