Noman will remain as source of inspiration to political workers: Speakers

CHATTOGRAM, June 2, 2025 (BSS): Speakers at a memorial meeting here today paid rich tribute to late BNP leader Abdullah Al Noman saying he will be ever remembered as a source of inspiration to political workers and common masses.

Chattogram Peshajibi Parishad arranged the memorial meeting at July Smrity Memorial Hall of Chattogram Press Club this afternoon.

City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain attended the meeting as the chief guest while editor of the Daily People's View Osman Gani Mansur was in the chair.

Abdullah Al Noman's son Sayed Al Noman, former Vice Chancellor of Chattogram Veterinary University Professor Nitish Debnath, VC of Chattogram Premier University Professor Nosrul Qadir, Chairman of Bangladesh Shrimp and Fish Foundation (BSFF) Syed Mahmudul Haque, Member Secretary of Chattogram Press Club Zahidul Karim Kochi, Member Secretary of Sammilit Peshajibi Parishad Dr. Khurshid Jamil Chowdhury, journalist Mustafa Naeem and poet Obhik Osman, among others, spoke on the occasion.

Speakers said the ideology left behind by Noman will continue to inspire people as he always upheld the ideological politics within the party. 

Mayor Shahdat Hossain recalled his memories with Abdullah Al Noman saying in his 39 years of political journey with Abdullah Al Noman, he had never seen him lose his temper. He always patronized good idea and fair politics within the party.
