DHAKA, June 3, 2025(BSS) - A court here today ordered to attach 164 decimal land of Nusrat Jahan, wife of dismissed Major General Ziaul Ahsan, for the sake of smooth investigation of corruption allegations against her.
Senior Special Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib also ordered to seize Taka 3.13 crore and 20,000 from the four bank accounts of Nusrat Jahan.
The court passed both the orders following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Deputy Director (PR) of the anti-graft body Aktarul Islam told journalists here.
The same court on April 24 last also ordered to attach three flats, five houses and 100 Bighas of land owned by Ziaul Ahsan. The court at the same time, ordered to seize Taka 1.28 crore and 90,511 from his nine bank accounts.
Ziaul Ahsan was arrested by the members of law enforcement agencies from the city’s Khilkhet area on August 15 last year. He was later dismissed from the service and detained in jail since then.
