KHULNA, June 4, 2025 (BSS) - Police on Wednesday (today) arrested 13 local leaders and activists of banned Awami League (AL) from Nijkhamar area in the city.

Md Towhiduzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Labonchara Police Station, said a team of the police arrested 13 AL men this noon while they were trying to bring out a brisk procession in the Nijkhamar area.
 
Of the arrestees, one was admitted at Khulna Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) as he had broken his leg while trying to flee, the OC said, adding that the rest were in police custody.

Legal action will be taken against them later, he added.
