Nine drug peddlers arrested from Mohammadpur Geneva Camp sent to jail

DHAKA, June 5, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today sent to jail nine persons ,  arrested by joint forces from the capital’s  Mohammadpur Geneva Camp with  drugs and huge cash from the illegal business. 
  
The accused, who were sent to jail, are Md Raihan, Md Shahidul Islam Bijoy, Md Imran Sayeed, Md Emran, Md Robiul Islam, Md Russel, Md Noyon, Md Jummon and Md Shahadat.
  
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akter passed the order as police produced the nine detainees before the court and pleaded to keep them behind bars till the end of the probe. 
 
A joint forces team of the Bangladesh Army and RAB-2 raided Geneva Camp on the night of June 4 and arrested nine accused with different drugs, TK 2.45 crore cash, amassed from the peddling of drugs and local weapons.
  
A case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act with   Mohammadpur police station.
