DB arrests three AL men in city

DHAKA, June 5, 2025 (BSS)- Detective Branch (DB) of police today arrested three leaders of Awami League (AL) from different parts of the city.

The arrestees are -Md Humayun Kabir, 53, member of AL commerce affairs sub-committee, Golam Rabbani Sarder, 46, former leader of banned Chhatra League of Rajshahi University unit and AL activist Md Mehedi Hasan, 27.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media and Public Relations Department Deputy Commissioner Talebur Rahman said Sujan was arrested from Tikatuli area, Rabbani was arrested from Mohammadpur while Mehedi was arrested from Mirpur area.

He said the legal actions are underway to bring the detainees to justice.
