DHAKA, June 12, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today said propaganda is being carried out to hide allegations of assets laundering in London by Awami League leaders, including former land minister Saifuzzaman.

“The money looted by Awami League leaders in the name of development has been laundered abroad. To hide the misdeed, propaganda is being spread over the Chief Advisor's visit to London,” he told reporters at a press briefing.

Rizvi said the meeting which is expected to be held in London between Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will play an important role in the upcoming national elections, electoral reforms and the restoration of democracy.

He said Sheikh Hasina has established fascism in the country in the last 16 years. In this situation, the meeting between Professor Muhammad Yunus and Tarique Rahman is very significant, he added.
