Joint forces arrest 271 persons in last 7 days

DHAKA, June 12, 2025 (BSS) – The joint forces arrested a total of 271 persons across the country in separate drives conducted from June 5 to June 12.

According to an ISPR press release, the arrestees include terrorists, illegal weapon-carriers, traffickers, teenage-gang members, extortionists, drug dealers and addicts.  

Joint forces seized 15 illegal fire-arms, 91 ammunition of different types, 21 round blank cartridges, 38 cocktails, different types of drugs, local weapons, motorbike, mobile phones and cash-money, the press release said.

The teams of the joint forces were formed with personnel from different Infantry Divisions, units from individual brigades of Bangladesh Army and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the law and order situation properly.
