Tarique Rahman stands by Jamir Ali's 2 ill sons

DHAKA, June 13, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended his support for the treatment of two sons of Jamir Ali, an inhabitant of Kaiyash union in Uttar Satkania under Chandanaish upazila of Chattogram district.

The acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Thursday night took responsibility for both the sons-- one is a thalassemia patient and the other was infected with heart ailment, according to BNP media cell facebook post.

Tarique Rahman, also the chief patron of "Amra BNP Paribar", has given directives to begin the treatment of those ill sons of Poor Jamir Ali immediately, it added.

During the time, BNP convener committee member of Chattogram (south) and sponsor shareholder of UCB Bank Rajib Jafar Chowdhury and Dr Farhan Afroz Chowdhury attended. 

The two sons will be provided treatment at Marine City Medical College, a non-government medical college in Chattogram. Poor Jamir Ali and his wife, parent of the ill-son, expressed profound gratitude to the BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman for extending his heartfelt cooperation.

Former Chatra Dal President of Chattogram Polytechnic Institute Engineer M Abul Kalam, Joint Convener of Dakshin district Chatra Dal Oliul Hossain Rubel, Uttar Satkania Jubodal leader Alamgir, Swechasebak Dal leader Abu Taiyab, Chandanaish Upazila Jubodal leader M Jubair and Chatra Dal leader Rashed, among others, were present during this time.
