Yaba trader, his wife held in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 13, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Rapid Action Battalion, in a 
drive, arrested Yaba trader Ayub dakat along with his wife Lutfunnesa in the 
city's Kolpholoke area today. 

The couple was arrested with Yaba pills worth about Taka 12.2 lakh. The 
arrested are Ayub Ali alias Ayub Dakat, 50 and his wife Lutfarnesa alias 
Golap, 28. 

Mozaffar Hossain, Assistant director of RAB-7, Chandgaon camp said that a 
team of RAB-7 carried out the operation on Thursday night based on secret 
information. 

He mentioned that the couple was selling Yaba pills from their apartment, 
which were smuggled from Cox's Bazar.

Several cases were pending against Ayub Ali in various police stations across 
the country including Satkania in Chattogram, Motijheel, Dakshinkhan and 
Bhatara police stations in Dhaka. 

These cases were related to drugs offenses, sabotage and other crimes that 
disrupt law and order. Mozaffar Hossain confirmed that the arrested couple 
had been handed over to Baklia police station.
