Jamaat condemns Israeli attacks on Iran

DHAKA, June 13, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly condemned Israeli attacks on different sites in Iran and expressed deep grief over the death of top Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists.

In a condolence statement, party’s Secretary General Professor Mia Gholam Parwar said, "The Israeli forces carried out a fierce airstrike on several important sites in Iran’s capital Tehran, including nuclear and military installations and a ballistic missile factory. The head of the country's Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, was killed in the pre-emptive strike by the quarrelsome Israeli Air Force. "

“Iranian armed forces chief Mohammad Bagheri, the commander of the Khatm-al Anbiya Central Headquarters, Gholamali Rashid, nuclear scientist Fereydoun Abbasi, Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, Abdul Hamid Minouchehr, Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari, Seyyed Amir Hossein Faki, Motlavizadeh, and Shamkhani, a top advisor to Iran's supreme religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were also killed in the targeted attacks,” Parwar said in the statement.

“I strongly condemn this barbaric attack by the belligerent Israel and express my deep condolences to those who were killed in their attack,” he said. 

"I pray for the forgiveness of the souls of the victims and pray to the Almighty to accept them as martyrs. May almighty Allah accept all the good deeds of their lives and grant them a high position in Paradise and grant their bereaved families and comrades the strength to bear this grief, Amen. We hope that the government and people of Iran will soon be able to overcome this great loss and grief," Pawar added.
