Five dacoits held from city's Mirpur on 3-day remand

DHAKA, June 15, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today placed five people, who were 
arrested from the city's Mirpur area while preparing for robbery, on a three-
day remand each in a case lodged with the Mirpur Model Police Station.

The remanded accused are-- Julhash, 37, Md Kamal Hawlader, 40, Md Tushar 
Ahmed, 34, Sabuj Miah, 35, and Samrat Mollah, 35.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque passed the order as police 
produced the accused before the court and pleaded to place on a five-day 
remand each.

Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested the five from 
Mirpur Sony Cinema Hall area on Saturday. Police recovered a car, two sharp 
weapons and two toy pistols from their possession.
