BIM, BUET ink MoU to strengthen academic, professional collaboration

DHAKA, Aug 30, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at the BUET campus to strengthen academic, professional, and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Khandoker Azizul Islam, Director General, BIM, and Professor Dr. Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor, BUET, on behalf of respective institutions, said a press release.

The collaboration was coordinated by the Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT), BUET, on behalf of BUET, and by the IQAC office, on behalf of BIM.

BUET Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Hasib Chowdhury, its Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW) Director Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Masud, Registrar Prof. Dr. N. M. Golam Zakaria, IAT Director Prof. Dr. Mohidus Samad Khan, Director of IQAC, BIM Dr. Md. Mamunur Rashid, Head of Marketing of BIM Dr. Uttam Kumar Datta were present on the occasion.

The purpose of this MoU is to establish a collaborative framework to facilitate BIM with academic and professional training, joint research and development, laboratory access and resource sharing, faculty and expert exchange programs.
