Police to recruit 2,000 trainee constables across 64 districts: PHQ

DHAKA, Aug 30, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Police is set to recruit 2,000 trainee constables across all 64 districts of the country, a police headquarters (PHQ) statement said here today.

According to the statement, letters were sent to the superintendents of police or district police chiefs in the 64 districts to initiate the recruitment process based on district-wise vacancies for trainee constables.

PHQ’s additional deputy inspector general for recruitment and career planning M Abu Hasan signed the statement detailing the vacant posts in each district that suggested the highest 167 posts for the position was now vacant in Dhaka district followed by 106 in Chattogram and 71 in Mymensingh.
