33-member DEAB convening committee approved

DHAKA, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) - A 33-member convening committee of the Diploma Engineers Association of Bangladesh (DEAB) has been approved.

Engineer Md. Hanif has been made Convener, while the Joint Conveners are valiant freedom fighter Engineer Muslim Uddin, Engineer Imam Uddin, Engineer Abedur Rahman, Engineer Saiful Islam Rony, Engineer Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Engineer Khadumul Haque Sohel, Engineer Md. Solaiman, and Engineer Md. Sohel Rana Swapan.

Engineer Kazi Sakhawat Hossain has been made Member Secretary at the committee.

Other members of the committee include Engineer Md. Shafiqul Islam Tipu, Engineer Md. Bacchu Mia, Engineer Humayun Kabir Shamim, Engineer Jasim Shikder Rana, Engineer Gazi Md. Selim, Engineer Syed Rashedul Hasan Reza, Engineer H M Aminur Rahman, Engineer H K Mahmud, Engineer Mahbubur Rahman, Engineer Rashedul Hasan, Engineer Md. Shafiul Azam Sohel, Engineer Md. Ashraful Hossain Shakil, Engineer Md. Jewel Rana, Engineer Md. Shahadat Hossain Sabuj, Engineer Md. Bashir Uddin, Engineer Md. Masud Rana Manik, Engineer Md. Abdullah Al Hamid Nirab, Engineer Md. Shahadat Jamil Chowdhury Litan, Engineer Md. Mizanuzzaman Rubel, Engineer Md. Abu Hanif, Engineer Kazi Md. Elias, Engineer Asaduzzaman Rahul, and Engineer Selimur Rahman.

The formation of the committee was announced through a press release signed by Senior Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

The convening committee has been directed to adhere to the following conditions: Within the next six months, the committee must form district and service organization committees and subsequently form a full-fledged central committee through a national conference as per the constitution.

Any decision regarding the formation, expansion, or dissolution of any committee will not be accepted without the signatures of the 2nd and 3rd Joint Conveners along with the Convener and Member Secretary.

No engineer who is listed as a member or participant of any organization associated with the fallen autocratic Awami fascist regime, or who appears in their rallies and gatherings, shall be allowed to become a member of DEAB.
