MANIKGANJ, Aug 31, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council Member and District Convenor Afroza Khanam Rita yesterday said her party will come to power through a fair election.

"The people of the country are waiting to exercise their voting rights, which they were deprived of during the previous fascist Awami League regime," she said while addressing a public gathering as chief guest at Putail Union in Manikganj Sadar upazila.

She urged party leaders and activists to reach out to the people with the 31-point manifesto announced by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

Afroza said BNP leaders are aware of propaganda against the party by anti-liberation forces, adding that the party would overcome it with the collective efforts of the people.

The function was attended by District BNP leaders including Public Prosecutor and Convening Committee Member AFM Nurtaj Alam Bahar, Krishak Dal President Golam Kibria Sayeed, General Secretary Abdus Salam Badal, Convening Committee Member Satyen Kanti Pandit, Poura BNP President Nasir Uddin Jadu and Convening Committee Member Golam Abedin Kaisar.
