DHAKA, Sept 1, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested eight criminals in connection with a killing of an old man during a robbery in a house at Singair Upazila of Manikganj district on August 17 last in separate raids at Ashulia, Savar and and Dhamrai areas on Sunday night.

The arrested have been identified as the ringleader of the criminal group Ismail alias Imran,40, Masud Rana,29, Md Obaidur, 22, Md Tawhid ,18, Md Sumon ,27, Md Monu ,45, Md Suruj Mia ,45 and Habibur Rahman Habib ,32. 

The eight were apprehended by a team of RAB-4 in three separate raids at Khejurtek area under Ashulia Police Station, Chhoto Chandrail under Dhamai Police Station and Chhayabithi area under Savar Police Station on Sunday night, said a press release of the RAB. 

The detainees committed a daring robbery in the house of Mohor Uddin, 70, at Islamnagar under Singair Police Station in Manikganj on August 17 last.

During the robbery they hit hard Mohor Uddin and his son Nur Mohammad Babu ,30. Mohor later succumbed to his injuries at Enam Medical College Hospital at Savar.
