DHAKA, Sept 7, 2025 (BSS) - The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) of police arrested 31 no ward Awami League (AL) vice president Shafiqur Rahman (61) from the capital's Mohammadpur area on Saturday.

He was arrested from Mohammadpur area around 7pm on Saturday following secret information, said a police press release.

The detained Shafiqur is an accused in multiple cases including July Uprising and extortion at Mohammadpur Police Station.

The arrestee person was handed over to Mohammadpur Police Station.
