NETRAKONA, Sept 7, 2025 (BSS) – Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today held its 183rd public hearing in Netrokona with the slogan “Unity of youth against corruption, Promoting integrity in future”
The commission's Integrated District Office of Mymensingh in collaboration with Netrokona District Administration organized the public hearing at the public hall.
The ACC commissioner Mian Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi was present as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “It is the responsibility of you and me to check corruption. Each person will fulfill his/her responsibility.”
With Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman in the chair, ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akhter Hossain and ACC's Mymensingh Divisional Director (Acting) Mohammad Tajul Islam Bhuiyan took part in the discussion.
The ACC organized public hearing across the country to build social awareness, ensure transparency and accountability, improve service quality, prevent harassment of service recipients and check corruption from government, autonomous and other organizations.
A total of 93 complaints including 27 government departments were heard during the public hearing. Out of these, one complaint was ordered to be investigated by the ACC and 22 complaints were resolved immediately.
The remaining complaints will be reviewed by the integrated district office and necessary measures will be taken in this regard.
ACC officials said such public hearings build public confidence against corruption and have a positive impact on improving the quality of services in government offices.
Meanwhile, the 184th public hearing of the ACC will be held tomorrow at Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Sherpur district.
