CHATTOGRAM, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS)- In Chattogram University Central Students' Union (CUCSU) elections all polling centres will be set up in the faculty building.

Chief Election Commissioner Professor Monir Uddin said this while announcing 17-point code of conduct of the election at a meeting with journalists on the campus.

He said residential halls of the university will not have any polling booth. Polling will be held in the faculty building.

Professor Monir Uddin said the code of conducts will be applicable for the candidates, voters as well as journalists and observers.

He emphasized on avoiding personal vengeance, outrage and provocative statements each other during the election campaign.

Election Commissioner Professor Amir Mohammad Nasrullah said the code aims to maintain fair, free, and peaceful election.

It outlines restrictions on rallies and processions during nomination submission, limited campaign hour, ban on microphones after 9 pm, and prohibits personal attacks, rumors, and communal incitement during campaign.

Only the permitted vehicles can be used for election campaign and carrying voters on the Election Day.

Candidates must secure written permission for rallies, and any gifts or donations are strictly prohibited while only the voters and authorized persons will be allowed inside polling centers.

Violation of code of conducts may lead to fines, cancellation of candidature, expulsion, or legal action, he said.
