DHAKA, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS) - The International Crimes Tribunal-2 has formally accepted charges of crimes against humanity in a case filed against JASAD President Hasanul Haq Inu in connection with the July-August 2024 student-led Mass Uprising.

The tribunal also directed Inu to appear in court on September 29 under a production warrant in this case.

The three-member International Crimes Tribunal-2, led by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, passed the order today after hearing the prosecution's petition.

Prosecutor Md Mizanul Islam represented the prosecution in today's hearing, while other members of the prosecution team were present.

During the July-August student-led Mass Uprising, seven people were killed in Kushtia and several others injured. The investigative report of the case was submitted to the prosecution by the International Crimes Tribunal's investigation agency.

Meanwhile, two phone call records of Hasanul Haq Inu with ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina during the Mass Uprising were presented yesterday before International Crimes Tribunal-1.
