DHAKA, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS) - A Dhaka court has ordered the issuance of an Interpol Red Notice against S Alam Group chairman Mohammad Saiful Alam and two others.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Sabbir Foyez passed the order today following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Confirming the matter, ACC Public Relations Officer Akhtarul Islam said the directive also includes S Alam Group vice chairman Abdus Samad and director Mohammad Abdullah Hasan.

The petition stated that the accused colluded to create a fake company, AM Trading, through which they prepared and used forged documents. They embezzled over Taka 104.2 crore in loans by abusing their authority.

Saiful Alam laundered and transferred the amount, converting it into Taka 340 crore in favour of S Alam Super Edible Oil, the petition further said.

Several attempts were made to arrest the accused during the investigation, but they fled abroad. Therefore, the ACC requested the court to issue arrest warrants through Interpol via the Home Ministry.
