CHATTOGRAM, Nov 17, 2025 (BSS) - The weekly tea auction held on Monday saw heightened demand across the market for all well-made, good liquoring
varieties, triggering increased competition and firmer prices. Heavy
withdrawals were reported again in the reprinted section of the catalogue,
while Dust teas performed well.

The average price at the 28th sale stood at Taka 257.48, with 69.35% of the
offerings sold.

CTC LEAF:

A total of 56,731 packages were on offer, meeting strong demand.

BROKENS:

Well-made, good liquoring Brokens-especially the smaller grades-were keenly
sought after and often sold at dearer rates due to intense competition.
Medium and plainer types drew more enquiries and held mostly firm. BLF teas
remained a good market, trading at slightly higher levels.

FANNINGS:

Good liquoring Fannings continued to attract strong demand, remaining fully
firm to slightly dearer. Medium and plainer grades saw improved interest and
held firm. BLF teas once again sold at slightly higher levels.

DUST:

Of the 11,499 packages on offer, demand improved further. Good liquoring
Dusts fetched higher prices amid competition. Medium Dusts remained fully
firm to slightly dearer. Plain and BLF Dusts saw better demand with only a
few withdrawals.

Blenders provided strong support throughout the sale, alongside fair
participation from loose tea buyers.
