Destitute elderly women get fruits on Tarique Rahman's birthday

DHAKA, Nov 22, 2025 (BSS) - Social organisation "Raktospondon" arranged a heartwarming get-together and fruit festival for destitute elderly women at Apon Nibas Briddhasrom, a shelter center for elderly women, in the capital's 
Dakshinkhan area on Friday.

The shelter center organised the programme marking the birthday of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, said a press release here today.
 
The elderly residents took the fruit and participated in a doa mahfil seeking the good health and long life of Tarique Rahman and the Zia family.

Alongside the fruit festival, the organisers inquired about the health conditions of the elderly residents of Apon Nibas Briddhasrom, spoke with them and fostered a bond of compassion-making the event a remarkable example of humanity.

Raktospondon's Chief Coordinator and DAB Joint Secretary General Dr. ANM Monowarul Kadir Bitu supervised the overall arrangement.
 
Deputy Coordinator of Raktospondon and General Secretary of Universal Medical College Chhatra Dal Dr. MA Taiful Haque led the programme while Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Joint General Secretary Md. Riaz Anwar Hossain, Raktospondon member Dr. AKM Mostafizur Rahman Ismam, among others, were present on the occasion.
