36 AL leaders sued for attacking Pabna's Faridpur Upazila BNP ofc

PABNA, Nov 22, 2025 (BSS)- A case has been lodged against 36 leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) for their alleged involvement in ransacking Faridpur Upazila BNP Office of the district today.

General Secretary of ward number-1 of Faridpur Poura BNP Jamal Uddin lodged the case with Faridpur Thana mentioning 36 leaders and activists of AL and 30 to 40 unnamed people in connection with the incident.

Shafiul Azam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Faridpur Thana, confirmed the matter and claimed that they have been trying to arrest the attackers.

"The upazila BNP office was attacked by unknown miscreants after 12 midnight on Thursday and the attackers threw cocktails, fired at the BNP office and ransacked it," he added. 

On Friday, local BNP leaders visited their ransacked office and informed the police. 

Later, police recovered an unexploded cocktail and a blank cartridge from the office.
