LAKSHMIPUR,November 23, 2025(BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anne today urges the people to stand against drug and take collective action against the spread of drug to save the youth from being strayed.
“Drug abuse in the society is increasing alarmingly and causing our children deviate from the righteous track. It is time to take collective action drug to save our children,”Anne said.
Delivering the chief guest’s speech, he made this speech at a prize giving ceremony to the GPA-5 obtainers in HSC exams held at the Public Library here.
Anne also urged all to stay alert and care for the young generation to protect them.
“Teachers, politicians, parents- all bear the responsibility to show the youth the rightful path. Alongside their study, students should be engaged with sports, cultural event and other extra-curriculum activities,” he added.
He also sought support for the Sheaf of Paddy in the upcoming national election and asked all to stay alert about conspiracies.
Arranged by Lakshmipur Society, the event was chaired by its president Wahiduddin Chowdhury.
Dhaka University pro-vice chancellor Prof. Mamun Ahmed, Lakhsmipur Government College principal Prof. Md Manzur Rahman and Prof. Mainuddin Pathan, among others, were also present at the programme.
