DHAKA, Nov 24, 2025 (BSS) - The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has issued a warning to the public after a fabricated notice, falsely using the CID's name and logo, began circulating across social media and various online platforms.

According to a press release of the CID, the fake notice contains misleading allegations related to cybercrime, pornography, and foreign currency transactions, deliberately crafted to intimidate and deceive citizens.

Authorities have confirmed that the circulating document is entirely false, fraudulent, and intended to mislead the public.

The CID urges everyone to remain alert and avoid being influenced by any such notices or certificates shared online.

Officials reassure that the department communicates through verified channels only and does not issue such notices through informal digital platforms.

The CID has already launched a formal investigation to identify those responsible for creating and spreading the fake document.

Legal action will be taken against all individuals involved in the misdeed, the agency confirmed.

The public is advised to stay vigilant and report any suspicious notices or communications to the authorities immediately.
