IRI delegation meets Jamaat-e-Islami leaders

DHAKA, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) – A three-member delegation from the US-based International Republican Institute (IRI) today met leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the party’s central office in the city’s Moghbazar area.

The IRI delegation included South Asia Resident Program Director Steve Seema, Senior Director Sonja Gockel and Programme Consultant Amitabh Ghosh.

Jamaat-e-Islami was represented by Assistant Secretary General and Chief of the Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Jubayer, noted academic and researcher Dr. Mokarram Hossain, Dr. Zubair Ahmed and Dr. Shabbir Ahmad.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the International Republican Institute’s recent survey conducted on political parties in Bangladesh, along with issues of mutual interest.
