DHAKA, Dec 12, 2025 (BSS) - BNP will hold nationwide protest rallies tomorrow to condemn the shooting of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson and Dhaka-8 independent aspirant Sharif Osman Hadi, who was critically injured after armed assailants opened fire on him in the capital's Paltan area today.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told journalists that the perpetrators are working according to a blue print to undermine the progress of democracy, free and fair elections, and a peaceful environment.

He stated that the shooting of Osman Hadi today is part of that plan. RIZVI also mentioned that the Convener of Chittagong City BNP and BNP’s nominated candidate for the Chittagong-8 constituency, Ershad Ullah was shot a few days ago.

“In protest of these incidents, BNP and all its affiliated organizations will hold protest marches tomorrow across Bangladesh including Dhaka, demanding arrest and exemplary punishment of the perpetrators,” he said.
