DHAKA, Dec 12, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami today announced a three-day program to observe Martyred Intellectuals Day and Victory Day.

As part of the program, a discussion meeting will be held on December 14 (Sunday) at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium to commemorate Martyred Intellectuals Day. Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar will attend the event as the chief guest, said press release.

On December 15, a discussion meeting marking Victory Day will be held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) at 3 pm. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will serve as the keynote speaker and chief guest.

On December 16, a youth marathon rally will be organized at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan under the initiative of Jamaat's central youth wing. The rally will begin at 7 am, passing through Shahbagh, Katabon, Science Lab, and Kalabagan, before concluding at Manik Mia Avenue. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will lead the rally.

Jamaat has also urged all its units and supporters across the country to observe Victory Day with due dignity on December 16 through discussions, rallies and doa, reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding the nation's independence, sovereignty, and people's rights.
