DINAJPUR, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS)- A two-day photo exhibition highlighting the struggle, political career and personal life of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia began in the district on Sunday.

The exhibition has been organized by Bogura Media and Cultural Society, Dhaka, at Lok Bhavan premises in the district town. 

Advocate Abdul Halim, President of Dinajpur District Bar Association and Convener of the Nationalist Lawyers Forum, inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Abdul Halim said the people of Dinajpur are proud that Begum Khaleda Zia was born in the district and spent her childhood here. He recalled that she studied at Dinajpur Government Girls’ School and said the town carries many memories of her early life.

He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Khaleda Zia.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by BNP-nominated candidate from Dinajpur Sadar-3 constituency Syed Jahangir Alam, District BNP Vice President Md Hafizur Rahman, Town BNP General Secretary Mohiuddin Ahmed Bakul, President of Bogura Media and Cultural Society Dhaka Marufa Rahman, General Secretary Sujan Mahmud, Drama Affairs Secretary Bivan Badal, leaders of BNP and its affiliated organizations, and local dignitaries. The event was conducted by former Chhatra Dal leader Mahbubul Haque Helal.

Drama Affairs Secretary of Bogra Media and Cultural Society Dhaka, Bivan Badal, said more than a hundred photographs depicting various phases of Begum Khaleda Zia’s family and political life were displayed at the exhibition. A special documentary on her life was also screened.
