DHAKA, Feb 10, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary
General Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair today called on the nation not to be
misled by any falsehoods, rumours or propaganda spread against the party's
leaders, including Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman.

In a statement issued today, Zubair, also Head of Jamaat's Central Publicity
and Media Department, strongly condemned and protested the circulation of
fabricated information involving the party's Ameer and Dhaka-15 parliamentary
candidate Dr Shafiqur Rahman.

"A conspiratorial group is deliberately spreading false and misleading
information linking the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Dhaka-15
parliamentary candidate Dr Shafiqur Rahman. These claims are entirely
baseless, false, and intentionally fabricated," he said.

He further added, "Dr Shafiqur Rahman is an honest, principled, and widely
respected leader among people from all walks of life. The publicised
allegations of monetary inducement against him are nothing but a despicable
conspiracy by politically bankrupt and morally defeated forces."

"Threatened by his growing public support, a group of people are attempting
to create confusion through misinformation," he added. Zubair urged the
concerned quarters to immediately stop spreading such falsehoods and appealed
to the public to remain vigilant against deceptive claims.
