Polling centres of interim govt advisers confirmed

DHAKA, Feb 10, 2026 (BSS) - Polling centres for advisers of the interim government have been finalised ahead of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election and the referendum-2026, scheduled to be held simultaneously on Thursday.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul will cast his vote at the Udayan High School and College polling centre on the Dhaka University campus. Education Adviser Dr. C. R. Abrar will vote at the University Laboratory School polling centre, also located on the DU campus.

Social Welfare Adviser Sharmeen S. Murshid will cast her vote at a polling centre in Block E of the Mirpur-12 area of the capital. Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter will vote at a polling centre near Shyamoli Shishu Mela.

Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hussain will cast his vote at a school polling centre in the Mohakhali DOHS area. Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder will vote at the Uttara Sector-10 Government Primary School polling centre.

Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk E. Azam, Bir Protik, will cast his vote at a polling centre in his local area of Mehedibagh in Chattogram metropolitan city. Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan will vote at the Gulshan Model School and College polling centre in Gulshan-2, while Commerce Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin will cast his vote at a polling centre in Dhanmondi.

Voting in the national election and the referendum will take place from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm across 299 parliamentary constituencies. Balloting will be conducted using transparent ballot boxes.
